Box Alarm in Chicago, 7-29-17

This is from Larry Shapiro:

I was in the area when the 7th Battalion arrived at a working fire in a three-story brick apartment building located at 3111 W. Diversey. The fire had extended to the rear porches and even reached a two-story house behind the building on Troy Street. The incident required a Box Alarm, and the responding units quickly got to work, knocking down the flames before they could spread further.

I arrived before the additional companies and found crews already working to wash down hotspots. It was clear that the firefighters were focused and efficient, handling the situation with precision and care.
