The YW series air flotation system is designed for the separation of solid-liquid or liquid-liquid mixtures. It operates on a dissolved air principle, where soluble organic matter is converted into insoluble particles through coagulants and flocculants. These suspended solids are then removed by a scraper to purify the water.
Raw wastewater enters the air flotation mixing zone, where it comes into contact with water rich in dissolved air. This process allows the flocculants to adhere to micro-bubbles, which then move into the flotation zone. The flocculants rise to the surface as scum, while some of the water is recycled as dissolved air water and the rest flows into the clean water tank. The scum is removed by a foam scraper.
