The top ten diesel engine diesel engines sold in the first half of the year are Quanchai Power, Yuchai Group , China FAW, Jiangling Motors, Foton Motor, Weichai Holdings, Yunnei Power, Dongfeng Motor, Huayuan Laidong and China National Heavy Duty Truck. Yuchai Group and Weichai Holdings, which had been ranked top in terms of sales, fell to the second and fifth positions after falling sharply in the first half of the year. Ranked third is China FAW, which sold 157,100 units of diesel engines in the first half of this year, down 33.7% from the same period of last year, down one place from the same period of last year, and sold 236,800 units in the same period last year, ranking second. Ranked fourth is Jiangling Motors, which sold 133,700 diesel engines in the first half of the year, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year.
Among the companies ranked sixth to tenth, sales declined with Dongfeng Motor, Huayuan Laidong and China Motors. In the first half of this year, diesel engines sold 85,700 units, 65,100 units, and 53,500 units, ranking eighth to fifth in turn. X. Declined 13.8%, 23.0%, and 6.8% respectively year-on-year.
The sales of Foton Motors and Yunnei Engines of the sixth and seventh quarters both achieved growth in the diesel engine market, especially Foton Motor. The year-on-year increase was as high as 34.4%, the fastest growing among the top ten companies. In the first half of the year, Foton Motor's sales of diesel vehicles (114,400 units) increased slightly year-on-year.
