Search giant Google has taken a small step toward China, announcing that it will open up Google Play for Chinese developers and sell its own applications abroad. The incident coincided with this week's World Internet Conference in China. However, Google also stressed its unstable business relationship with China, and many Google services are still blocked, including Google Play development site. Google Play is not listed in China, so the move will only allow Chinese developers to attract foreign customers. Chinese developers will be able to use Google's back-end development system to upload their applications and sell them to other customers.
A Google spokeswoman declined to comment on whether the availability of the Chinese developer website could further Google's business in China, paving the way for further business. Recent support from developers has also been expanded in other countries including Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Qatar and Venezuela. Google is not the only company that wants to work hard with China. Mark Zuckerberg of social networking Facebook, he said he loves Chinese culture.
