China will reduce naphtha import tariff from 6% to 1%

From January 1, 2008, China will reduce its naphtha import duties from the current 6% to 1% to reduce the burden on importers. China's current oil production is insufficient to meet the growing domestic demand. From January to November this year, China imported 10.3 million tons of naphtha, an increase of 86.5% over the same period last year.
