Two new quadrupole GC/MS instruments come out

Recently, Thermoelectric and Agilent have launched their latest quadrupole GC/MS instruments - DSQ(TM) II and 5975B.

Thermo Electron's DSQII uses the latest DynaMax XR ion detection system and DuraBrite (TM) ion source. The DynaMax XR inspection system allows for a linear range of quantitative analysis over six orders of magnitude, while the DuraBrite source uses an enhanced source design that greatly enhances the analytical performance of complex matrix samples. At the same time, the instrument uses a flexible three-pump configuration for different applications: a turbomolecular pump with a pumping rate of 70 L/sec is mainly used for the EI source; and a 250 L/sec turbomolecular pump is mainly used for chemistry. Ionization source or solid probe; in addition, the instrument is equipped with a 200/200 split pump for differential pumping. The DSQII scan speed exceeds 11,000 amu/sec, which is the fastest scanning speed of its kind.

And Agilent's 5975B is based on its flagship 5975, product performance has been further improved. This type of instrument provides users with new software tools. At the same time, due to the use of the latest oil-free vacuum pump, the analytical capabilities of the instrument have been greatly improved and the maintenance requirements have been reduced.
