2011 Aluminum Pipe
The 2011 aluminum alloy is a copper-aluminum alloy known for its excellent machinability. It stands out among all aluminum alloys due to the addition of bismuth (Bi), making it one of the most free-cutting materials available. In medium-strength applications, the T3 temper offers excellent formability and workability, especially when lower strength is required. For high-strength applications, the T8 temper is recommended. This alloy is highly suitable for automated lathes, as it allows for efficient machining with minimal chip formation and self-cleaning properties on the cutting surface. As the most easily machinable aluminum alloy, 2011 has an A-level machining performance, making it ideal for Precision Parts. Its small chips and clean cut make it particularly well-suited for automotive components, mechanical hardware, clock gears, pipelines, and audio-visual connectors.
