On December 6, Gezhouba Group Green Park Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Laohekou Municipal Government: the 1 million tons of scrap recycling and comprehensive utilization project entered the Laohekou Circular Economy Industrial Park. Upon completion, it will become the largest renewable resource recycling project in China.
The project has a total investment of 5 billion yuan. Through the comprehensive utilization of scrap steel, it produces brake hubs, engines, gearboxes and other parts for automobiles and construction machinery, as well as trains, elevators, and major equipment machinery parts. After the project is put into production, the annual output of various parts and components will be about 35 million pieces, with an annual output value of 10 billion yuan. It will be centered on Xiangyang and radiate the regional automobile market in the six major cities of Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing and Changsha. The regional, scale and cost advantages are matched for OEMs and component assembly enterprises.
On the same day, the Laohekou Renewable Resources Industrial Park project, which was built and operated by Gezhouba Huanjia Company, started its operation. It mainly deals with recycling, finishing, product development and comprehensive utilization of renewable materials such as waste plastics, scrap steel, waste paper and waste non-ferrous metals.
The Laohekou Circular Economy Industrial Park has experienced 6 years of development and has built a national large-scale renewable resource utilization base. There are 17 renewable resource utilization enterprises in the park, and four industrial chains have been formed, such as recycling of used lead-acid batteries and processing and utilization of scrap steel. This year, the output value of 5.6 billion yuan.
