Wuhan Development Zone and Honghu build 100 billion yuan auto parts industrial park

On January 14, 2012, the Administrative Committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a cooperation agreement with the People’s Government of Honghu City, Jingzhou, Hubei Province to jointly build the New Beach Industrial Park of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone and focus on the development of the auto parts manufacturing industry. The output value of one hundred billion yuan has become a successful model for comprehensive reform experiments in Wuhan.

The agreement stipulates that Wuhan Development Zone plans 10 square kilometers of land in the first phase of the new area of ​​Honghu Lake, and builds a new beach industrial park together with Honghu City. The industrial park serves as an industrial supporting area for the Wuhan Development Zone and is planned and unified with the Wuhan Development Zone. , Uniform investment, focusing on the development of auto parts, electronic appliances, fine chemicals and other industries. Wuhan Development Zone is responsible for investing in and constructing the industrial park's roads, water and sewage networks, street lamps, green belts, and other infrastructure. Honghu City is responsible for power supply facilities, and the two parties jointly strive to establish a 30,000-ton/day water plant and a 20,000-ton / Day scale sewage treatment plant.

Xintan Industrial Park is located in the eastern end of Honghu City and has been under construction since 2007. At present, it has formed a road layout of two horizontal and three vertical parks. Hubei Joint Formula Automobile Friction Material Co., Ltd., Hubei Feiyan Pengcheng Organic Glass Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Honglang Petrochemical Equipment Co., Ltd. Companies and other companies settled in. The town of Xintan, where the industrial park is located, was originally a town in Hanyang District, Wuhan City. When Honghu County was established, it was assigned to Honghu Lake. The Xintan New District is now separated from Wuhan Hannan District by water. In October 2009, after the opening of the Jinghe Bridge in Xintan East and the Hanhong Expressway out of Wuhan, Xintan Town and Wuhan City are truly integrated. It takes only 20 minutes to Wuhan Development Zone and only one hour to Wuhan Tianhe Airport. In order to maximize the advantages of location, Honghu City will also provide transportation subsidies for industrial projects that settled in Xintan Industrial Park.

It is reported that Honghu City is one of the few counties and cities in Hubei Province enjoying the policy of developing the western region. On this basis, Honghu City has also specially formulated a series of preferential policies for the construction of the Xintan Industrial Park. In addition, in terms of land, water, electricity, and other costs, Honghu City is far below Wuhan and developed coastal areas. Honghu's mechanical processing industry has a good foundation. The city has more than 140 machinery processing and auto parts production enterprises and nearly 10,000 industrial workers. It can provide support for various auto parts production companies.

After several developments in Wuhan Development Zone, the jurisdiction now covers an area of ​​nearly 200 square kilometers. In recent years, projects have come one after another. At present, almost 20 investment projects have been clearly identified. According to the development momentum, the available land can only meet the investment invitation requirements for two to three years. Therefore, strengthening cooperation and co-construction with Caidian, Hannan, Honghu and other regions will be conducive to the extension of national-level economic and technological development zones in terms of policies, talent, capital, management, industry, etc., and local development space, preferential policies, and human resources. The resources and other advantages are organically combined to achieve rapid and interactive development.
