Recently, crude benzene hydrorefining projects include: Shanxi Three-Dimensional Group (200,000 tons/year) benzene hydrofining unit is scheduled to be put into operation at the end of the year; Tengzhou Shengyuan Hongda's first-phase project (160,000 tons/year) is scheduled to be put into production by the end of November, Shandong Haili Chemical's Phase I (80,000 tons/year) plans to test in October, and another 200,000 tons of capacity in Henan, Hebei and other places will be put into trial production. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of the year, an additional 500,000 tons/year of production capacity will be added, and it is expected that there will be a total production capacity of 500,000 tons/year of equipment put into operation next year.
The reason for this phenomenon is mainly the price factor. According to statistics, the operating price difference between coking benzene and petroleum benzene has remained at more than 2,000 yuan (t price, the same below) so far last year. The high point even exceeds 3,000 yuan, and the price of coking benzene has always been difficult to increase. With the continuous improvement of production technology, the pure benzene produced by the hydrotreating of coking grade crude benzene is comparable to that of petroleum benzene, and its quality index can reach the level of petroleum-grade pure benzene, and the price is lower by about 400 yuan than that of petroleum benzene. , Smooth sales, this will undoubtedly give rise to a large number of crude benzene hydrotreating device.
The substantial increase in domestic production capacity will have two impacts on the future market.
On the one hand, the prices of related products have changed significantly. Due to the significant expansion of domestic coking grade crude benzene by hydrofining projects, it will directly affect the supply of crude benzene, and break the supply and demand pattern of the original market. Correspondingly, the price of crude benzene will rise, resulting in a passive price increase of coking benzene. On another level, the increase in the market supply of hydrorefined benzene will inevitably affect the market price of petroleum benzene, which will cause some downward adjustment. Crude benzene has risen by 500 yuan to 4900 to 5100 yuan, coking benzene has risen by 400 yuan to 6300 to 6700 yuan, and petroleum benzene has been lowered by 300 yuan to 8,500 to 8,700 yuan. The market price difference between coking benzene and petroleum benzene will gradually shrink. .
On the other hand, overcapacity causes a waste of resources. Although the crude benzene refining unit was launched, downstream facilities were also under construction, such as aniline from Sichuan Tianke, adipic acid from Shandong Haili Chemical, Hyundai from Tengzhou Hongyuan, and styrene from Heze Jade in Shandong, and Pingdingshan Shenma Group. Adipic acid, etc., but its progress rate can not keep up with the expansion rate of benzene refining project. The production capacity of crude benzene in domestic crude benzene will be surplus in a certain period, resulting in waste of resources.
It can be seen that the recent positive effects of hydrorefined benzene will inevitably lead to changes in the market prices of crude benzene, coking benzene, and petroleum benzene, and may also be the trigger for future excess capacity and waste of resources.
